How does FoodAte estimate calories?
FoodAte uses advanced AI image analysis to examine your meal photos and estimate calorie content. Our model has been trained on millions of food images and their nutritional data. While we strive for accuracy, these estimates are approximations — always consult a healthcare professional for medical dietary advice.
Is my meal diary data private?
Your calorie diary is private by default and visible only to you. You can choose to share specific diary entries as public posts if you want to. All privacy controls can be managed in your app settings under 'Privacy & Data'.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your FoodAte account directly from the app: go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This will permanently remove your profile, meal diary, and personal data within 30 days, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Can I use FoodAte without an internet connection?
Basic diary logging works offline, but features like meal photo analysis, restaurant discovery, and social sharing require an active internet connection. Your data will sync automatically once you reconnect.
How does the spending tracker work?
The spending tracker lets you log the cost of each meal or grocery purchase. Over time, you can view daily, weekly, and monthly spending breakdowns to understand your food spending habits. All spending data is stored privately in your account.
Does FoodAte share my data with third parties?
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted service providers who help us deliver the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, AI analysis providers), and when required by law. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
